Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
The Redtell respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights — written plainly, the way we write everything.
Who we are
The Redtell is an independent, anonymously-run publication. For data-protection purposes, the desk acts as data controller. You can reach us at hello@theredtell.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you subscribe to the newsletter. We use it only to send Field Reports and occasional related updates.
- Basic, aggregated analytics (with your consent) — which pages are read, roughly where readers are. We don't build advertising profiles of individuals.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share your email with third parties for their own marketing. We don't track you across other sites.
Legal basis (GDPR)
- Consent — for the newsletter and for non-essential cookies.
- Legitimate interest — for keeping the site secure and functioning.
Your rights
If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe. To exercise any right, email hello@theredtell.com.
Third-party services
We use an email provider to deliver the newsletter and a host to serve this site. These providers process data on our behalf under their own safeguards. Any advertising or analytics partners are introduced only with your consent and listed in our Cookie Policy.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change, and note the date above.
